Trying to stomach TV..

Growing up in the MTV generation of great music, seeing the very first video aired on MTV, I wanted to revisit this great Music Station. OMG...I remember NOW why I don't even THINK of turning to MTV anymore..TV & Music for Morons. OMG the shows alone make you want to wretch.

Parental Control. MTV shoving Parental Control down our throats like the crap over played music of today's generation. TRL. This just sucked. Period. 10 seconds of a song and thats it.

Three hour block time again! (ahhh where's the Videos?) My Super Sweet Sixteen. The one show that makes you scream, "Please God! If you are up there! SHOOT ME!" The shows "premise" is sixteen year old girls, who are already rich, yelling, kicking and screaming because everything isn't just right. They are getting into Porsches, Land Rovers and what have you. They end up pissy because it's not the color of Porsche they wanted. WAKE UP HOOKER, YOU JUST GOT A FUCKING PORSCHE!!!!!!!! Anyone else would do anything, and I do mean just about anything, for their first car to be a Porsche.

I hate reality shows.

4:00 A.M. hits. MUSIC! HA HA! Four straight hours of music! ::Starts singing 500 Miles: I just felt dirty watching all that! I needed and took a much needed shower, I was in there for like an hour, with the soap. "I'm Still not clean! I'm Still not clean!" Well anyways, I'm pretty sure my brain is fried just as much as the CEOs and presidents of MTV.


Put me out of my misery

Music Television? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.(uncontrollable hysterical laughter).

Kids nowadays act just like the scripted people on MTV, not to mention all the other lame channels. Its either torture, sex, acting "cool" or terrorism. Even history channel is not even close to what it used to be....


We all know MTV sucks, and lets face it, its sucked for a long, long time. However, have you seen the videos that "artists" are coming out with these days? You've got rap videos which look exactly the same, pop punk/emo/ videos which look exactly the same, and you've got nu-metal videos with retards in masks and painted faces which all look exactly the same. The point I'm trying to make is, that with the bullshit and stupidity masquerading as music and the complete lack of anything innovative in music videos, do you really miss them that much anyway? UHHHH NOPE!!


After Headbanger's Ball dropped off for years on end, I completely gave up... I have seen pieces of the new HB and that's the part where I agree with everyone else here... These videos suck ballsack and aren't original at all...

Whatever happened to kick ass videos like Enter Sandman, Bark at the Moon or even cheesy videos like Separate Ways & We're Not Gonna Take It? Hell, pop songs might of sucked, but at least we remember the old music videos like Beat It & Thriller. Every new video is the same and just not that memorable.

In the early/mid-80's, when I was in high school, people were already bemoaning the fact that MTV was both [a] a shameless corporate tool that had nothing to do with real music (see the Dead Kennedy's "MTV Get Off The Air") and losing whatever "cool" factor it once had by repeating its content incessantly and coming up with stupid non-musical shows.

How the sam do they stay on tv? Please..End of Rant..
